Dr. Leigh Ricketts is a native of East Tennessee. She was born and raised in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee near Chattanooga. She completed her undergraduate studies at The University of TN-Chattanooga (UTC) and earned a B.S. in Biology. She moved to Miami, Florida following the completion of her Bachelor’s Degree to attend Podiatry School. While working on her Doctorate degree in Podiatry, she suffered a back injury and underwent Chiropractic care and was intrigued and impressed by the results. She switched her career path to Chiropractic and moved to Dallas, Texas to attend graduate school at Parker College of Chiropractic. She graduated from Parker earning a B.S. in Anatomy degrees and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. She began her professional career in Knoxville, TN at Bearden Chiropractic as a loyal associate to Dr. David Shreve for 21 years before accepting a position at Sunshine Medical Center. Dr. Ricketts is married to her husband Greg who serves as an Army officer in the 278th Armored Reconnaissance Regiment. She is a proud dog mom of two rescues, Isabella and Oliver Bishop, which she loves unconditionally.
